7/14/2012 - In the early morning hours on 7-14-2012 the Seaford Fire Department was alerted for a working structure fire at 107 Arch St. Command arrived on location to find an apartment building with heavy fire blowing out the rear of the structure. Due to the town of Seaford having its Riverfest going on there were many streets that were blocked off and access to the location was limited. Station 71 Blades was alerted on the initial dispatch. Stations 72 Bridgeville and 81 Laurel were alerted to respond to the scene. Crews worked for nearly 45 minutes to bring the fire under control. Due to an aggressive interior attack crews were able to save the building. Two families were displaced due to the fire.
